Thanks Slut

I don’t think people realize what they say at the register. Most people are in a hurry and stare the cashier down as if that will make them go faster. As I give them the receipt to sign and they scribble what would seem to be a four year old’s signature (okay, it’s worse), they say “Thanks a lot.” Now I don’t want to imply it was an angry “Thanks a lot”, it’s just a normal thank you as they rush away. Still, I don’t think they realize what that sounds like to a cashier when they are in a hurry and say it fast. Go ahead…try it. “Thanks a lot” when given speed turns to “Thankslot” then to “Thankslut” to “Thanks Slut”. I’m glad that people are saying thank you but I would suggest keeping it simple with just “Thanks”. We retail sluts don’t like to be called out on it.
